Donna Lewis serves as WIT's Assistant Director of Legal. She works closely with the Director of Legal and Secretary, developing policies and assessing legal issues for Women in Technology.
She is supported in this role by Kilpatrick Stockton LLP, where she practices in the Corporate Department's Technology & Communications team. Her focus is on complex commercial transactions and intellectual property licensing and distribution transactions. She has significant experience structuring and negotiating procurement, outsourcing and licensing transactions across various industries, representing both buyers and sellers of goods and services. Representative clients include software and hardware providers, financial and transactional processing services companies, network service providers, and media and telecommunications companies. Ms. Lewis also has significant experience in general corporate and commercial matters, copyright, content and technology development, and ecommerce and Internet matters.
Prior to joining the firm in 2005, Ms. Lewis spent 14 years at Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., in a variety of legal and business positions, most recently as Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer for Turner Entertainment Group Donna's educational achievements include a JD from Emory University School of Law, MA and ABJ, University of Georgia School of Journalism.
