Jamie Greene has served on the WIT Board since 2004.  During her terms on the Board in 2004 and 2005, Jamie served as the Director of Legal where she played an integral part in the incorporation process for both WIT, Inc.  and the WIT Foundation.  In 2006, Jamie will serve as Secretary of both organizations.

Jamie is a partner in the Intellectual Property Group and practices primarily in the biomedical patent areas with an emphasis on patent prosecution, licensing, clearance opinions, and due diligence.  She has extensive patent experience in the areas of biotechnology, diagnostics, isolation and purification methodology, pharmacology, and immunology and has patent litigation experience in the vaccine and therapeutics fields.

Jamie has been a registered Patent Attorney since 1986 and was a Research Scientist at Sloan-Kettering Institute for Cancer Research.  She was also a Research Associate at Boehringer Ingelheim Ltd. and conducted Graduate Research in neuroimmunology/virology (HIV research conducted at the CDC).  She has Government Contract experience and was a former in-house patent counsel for small pharmaceutical company and former Adjunct Professor of Intellectual Property at Emory University School of Law.

Jamie earned her J.D. from Emory University School of Law and has a B.S.  in Molecular Biology from Wellesley College.  She also has a M.S. in Immunology and Molecular Pathogenesis from Emory University, 1995.  Jamie has been listed in The Best Lawyers of America® since 1999 and is AV® rated by Martindale-Hubbell.
