This is Katarzyna "Kasia" Wichrowska's second year on the Board.  In 2005, Kasia served as Assistant Director of Technology where she was integral in the design and launch of WIT's website.  In 2006, Kasia assumes the role of Director of Technology for WIT and is responsible for the various technology solutions employed by WIT as well as the website.

Kasia currently serves as the Webmaster for Atlanta Jet, Inc., an international aircraft dealer and broker.  She is in charge of the creation and the maintenance of the company Web site.  Throughout this role, she enjoys combining both her technical and artistic abilities.

Before joining Atlanta Jet, Kasia worked at Lucent Technologies for 9 years, where she was part of the Global Customer Organization (GCO) team.  She was responsible for the detailed engineering of the proprietary telephone switching equipment.  In her role, Kasia supported a wide range of telecommunication customers, including Sprint, MCI, and AT&T.  While at Lucent, she won an internal contest for designing the GCO logo.

A native of Poland, Kasia moved to Atlanta in 1994.  After spending a year learning English, a new language, she started her career at AT&T and then moved to Lucent Technologies after the company spun off of AT&T.  While working full time during the day, she attended night classes at Southern Polytechnic State University in Marietta, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.

Kasia currently resides with her husband and younger daughter in Alpharetta.  Her older daughter is a student at MIT in Cambridge, MA.  Besides Women in Technology, Kasia is also active on the board of the Atlanta Telecom Professionals and Fulton County Supporters of the Gifted.  Between work, family, and volunteering, Kasia seldom has time for her own personal hobbies - art and architecture, but she makes every effort to see each major art exhibit that comes to the High Museum of Art in Atlanta.
