Marti is a long time member of WIT who began volunteering in 2004 and began serving on the board as Assistant Director, Marketing & PR in 2005. In 2006 Marti will assume the role of Director of Marketing & PR where she will continue to plan and implement the overall marketing strategy for the organization as well as continue in WIT's branding efforts. As Director of Marketing & PR, Marti also works closely with the Director of Technology in providing content for the website.
Her role with WIT is supported by Stroud & Associates, a full service marketing communications company. At S & A, she assists mid-sized business to business clients in formulating their marketing strategy and coordinates the creation of integrated campaigns that deliver increased profitability. Her creativity, expertise in business planning and marketing strategy helps her clients realize their goals. Before joining S & A, Ms. Breen built an impressive consulting practice, C3 Marketing. Here, she helped companies large and small improve their marketing efforts. She has helped start up firms secure funding by devising a complete business plan and furthered established firms' growth by focusing their marketing strategy. Ms. Breen is known for helping her clients increase sales and profitability by instituting concrete systems to more efficiently fulfill their customers' needs. Clients included UPS, Allied Utility Network, Integrasoft and Healtheon.
Prior to entering consulting, Ms. Breen had over 15 years senior corporate marketing experience with companies ranging from the Fortune 500 to the Inc. 100. She led the marketing team at Medirisk, a start-up health information technology company. At Siemens, Marti directed marketing for a division selling equipment in the medical and dental markets. With Healthdyne, she introduced new products and devised innovative programs to help the company grow from $8M to $250M revenue in three years. She entered the marketing profession in New York with Celanese and Pfizer.
She has won several awards for outstanding marketing programs and serves on several boards. She is an active member of the Technology Association of Georgia where she serves on the Marketing Sub-committee and the Business Marketing Association, where she served on the board. She also held a board position with PushPush Theater. She currently serves on the board of Women in Technology and Georgia Interfaith Power and Light. At the Tilden School of Business, University of Maryland, Ms. Breen taught consumer marketing and conducted research in business-to-business marketing. Marti has an MBA from the AB Freeman School of Business at Tulane University.
