As the Director for the Advisory Board for the WIT Foundation, Pam Richards helps to recruit and retain professionals from the business and technology community who can serve in an advisory capacity to help guide and grow the WIT Foundation.

Pam is the Director, Energy and Utility Services, IBM Global Application Services. She is an IT professional with over 25 years experience with expertise in building and leading cross-functional organizations operating in global environments. Pam's experience includes program management, custom and package application delivery for maintenance and development, driving new business opportunities, transition and transformation of new and existing organizations, process reengineering and organization realignment of back office operations. Her expertise includes leveraging global resources in all geographies. International and domestic assignments have provided a solid general business perspective, contributing to the ability to manage IT programs in complex environments.

She has a keen interest in facilitating women in technology and promoting excellence in mathematics, science and technology for students and teachers. Pam is a member of the Georgia Intern - Fellowships for Teachers (GIFT) Advisory Board. GIFT is a collaborative program of corporations, universities, and school systems run by Georgia Tech's Center for Education Integrating Science, Mathematics, and Computing. Previously, she was a member of the Georgia Coalition for Excellence in Mathematics Education (GCEME) and served several terms as the Chair of the Advisory Council.

Pam is an executive level IBM certified Project Manager and a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute. She received her PhD from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Applied Mathematics as part of IBM's Resident Work Study Program.
