Tana Glassford serves as the program chair, WIT Pre-Career Programs.  These programs focus specifically on young girls and women with the goal of attracting more women to technology careers.  Programs included are: Girls Get IT, WIT on Track, Internships and College Programs.  Tana was previously WIT Foundation's Director for the Girls Get IT Program (2006).  She works with the WIT Board to secure events and opportunities in order that young women and girls can gain exposure to the variety of careers available to them in technology.  This is Tana's third year with WIT.

In her leadership role within the Office of the Regional Information Officer (RIO) group at Kaiser Permanente Information Technology, Tana Glassford shares the overall accountability for delivery of IT solutions, products and services, and the realization of benefits from investments in technology.  Healthcare is one of a number of high-risk industries that manage a set of complex environments, but that must maintain high success rates.  The Office of the RIO is working aggressively on KP-IT's ability to deliver high availability and stellar recovery capability.  Tana also directs a KP-IT consulting group that works closely with the health plan and medical group business partners, program and project managers, the IT development organization, the enterprise architecture group, the national operations group, external vendors and consultants to identify technology solutions and recommended architecture for their projects.

Tana Glassford is a professional who is an expert at navigating among and between the domains of IT and Business Units in ways that enable strategic alignment and effective execution.  In recent years, Tana's career has focused on business transformation and IT governance, IT service delivery, and portfolio and program management.  With over 25 years of experience, across four industries, Glassford leverages her energy, passion and intelligence to bridge the gap at the intersection of business and IT to deliver crucial business capabilities and improve business processes.

She also provides leadership at the Ray of Hope Christian Church (Decatur, GA) as Operations Co-Chair of the Christian Business Leaders Network.  In the Sisters In Motion Investment Club, Tana is the Membership Chair and Chaplain (2005-2006) and President Elect (2007-2008).

Tana Glassford is PMI PMP certified and recently completed Six Sigma Green Belt training from Breakthrough Management Group (BMG).  She has a MBA in Management Information Systems from Babson College (Wellesley, MA) and a bachelors degree in Business Administration from National University (Los Angeles, CA).

Tana lives in Atlanta, GA with her husband, two daughters and grandson.
