Women In Technology (WIT) Announces 2006 Board of Directors
The Board will focus on building upon the organization's 2006 theme,
"Growing with Valued Partnerships."

January 2, 2006 - ATLANTA, GA - Women in Technology (WIT), the leading association devoted to the development of Georgia's businesswomen in the industry, today announced the 2006 Board of Directors.  WIT works to accelerate the growth path of women in technology through initiatives that promote visibility and opportunities for success in the industry.

Marsha Calfee, Netbank, will serve as president and Judi Vitale, Indus, will serve as the new vice president.  Other officers of the Board include Kristi Johnson, Windham Brannon PC, as treasurer; Jamie Greene, Kilpatrick Stockton LLP, as secretary; and Sarah Bajc, Tescom, as WIT Foundation president.

The Board also includes 10 director positions which will be held by:

  • Director of Sales - Sandy Phelps, Symantec
  • Director of Finance - Cassie Crist, Cherry, Bekaert & Holland, LLP
  • Director of Technology - Kasia Wichrowska, Atlanta Jet
  • Director of Events - Katy Brown, Microsoft
  • Director of Initiatives - Susan Adams, Beazer Homes
  • Director of PR/Marketing - Marti Breen, Stroud & Associates
  • Director of Volunteers - Janet Turnure, Spencer Reed
  • Director of Legal - Brenda Holmes, Kilpatrick Stockton LLP
  • Director of Communications - Connie Olasz, CSO Integrated Marketing Services
  • Director of Meetings - Michelle Sorensen, Systems Evolution

The organization's theme for 2006 is "Growing with Valued Partnerships" and the Board will concentrate their efforts on building upon this theme both within the organization itself and the throughout the greater Atlanta technology community.  Plans for 2006 include annual events such as the Women of the Year awards ceremony and WITConnect, as well as WIT's Best Employers in Georgia awards.
