Women In Technology (WIT) Announces Strategic Alliance
Partnership with Possible Woman Enterprises to benefit both organizations

January 9, 2006 - ATLANTA, GA - Women in Technology (WIT), the leading association devoted to the development of Georgia's businesswomen in the technology industry, announced today that they have formed a strategic alliance with Possible Woman Enterprises.  The two groups will work together to promote the advancement of women's careers by cooperating on events that foster leadership development and celebrate successes.

"The synergy between the two groups, both working to advance women professionals, made the partnership a natural connection," explained Marsha Calfee, WIT President 2006.  "WIT works to accelerate the growth path of women in technology while Possible Woman Enterprises offers leadership development to women entrepreneurs and those in corporate America.  Working together to reach our goals is a good fit for both of us."

The first event on which the two organizations are collaborating is the upcoming 9th Annual Leadership Conference at the Georgia World Congress Center on April 19, 2006 featuring the legendary Della Reese, keynote speaker.  It will include a panel titled "Women in Technology Leading the Future" moderated by WIT's President, Marsha Calfee, with panelists drawn from WIT's Women of the Year in Technology Awards, WIT's Speaker's Bureau and WIT's Executing Coaching.  Possible Woman Enterprises Leadership Conferences regularly attract 1000+ ttendees with keynote speakers like Geraldine Ferraro, Erin Brockovich, Myrlie Evers Williams, Ann Richards, Deborah Norville, and Benazir Bhutto.  This year the conference attendance is expected to double in size because of the phenomenal speakers and panels that are scheduled for the event, many of whom have appeared on Oprah.

"The partnership between WIT and Possible Woman Enterprises presents great opportunities for us to increase the visibility of our organizations and to work together to promote the success of women in business," commented Linda Wind, President of Possible Woman Enterprises.  "We look forward to having WIT women become more involved in our Leadership Conferences and believe that by cross promoting events and meetings we'll strengthen both groups."
