Women In Technology (WIT) Names Marian Lucia to Board
Executive Vice President and CIO of Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta to Serve as Director

April 3, 2007 – ATLANTA, GA - Women In Technology (WIT), the leading association devoted to the development of Georgia's businesswomen in the industry, has elected Marian Lucia to the board of directors.  Ms. Lucia's election is a culmination of a long relationship with WIT, as a member and more recently as an active volunteer.

"Marian is a great addition to our organization," said Judi Vitale, WIT President.  "She is an effective leader, well respected in the technology community, and has a wealth of experience serving on boards.  Marian is currently a board member of Gwinnett Technical College, is on the advisory board of the Information Management Forum and chairs the board for the Georgia CIO Leadership Association.  She and Tricia Dempsey have done a wonderful job this year as the chairs of the Women of the Year in Technology Awards and we look forward to having her assistance our board."

WIT's board develops policies and endorses programs that support its mission of promoting the unique talents women bring to technology.  Lucia serves as co-chair of the 2007 Women of the Year in Technology Awards which will be held at TWELVE, Atlantic Station on April 26th.  She also contributes as an auction candidate for WIT Connect which returns to the Georgia Aquarium this year on June 13th.

"Besides helping with the events, I am looking forward to helping guide WIT as we identify even more ways to be effective in the technology community," stated Lucia.  "It is an exciting time to be in this industry in Georgia and WIT has much to contribute to help it prosper."
