Changes in the Live Auction Announced for the 13th Annual WIT Connect
Wednesday, June 13th at 5:00 pm at The Georgia Aquarium

Teams from AT&T, AutoTrader.com, ChoicePoint, Coke, CompuCredit, Delta, Equifax,
Home Depot, IHG, and Southern Company to Meet with the Highest Bidders

June 8, 2007 – ATLANTA, GA - Women in Technology (WIT), the leading association committed to the development of Georgia's businesswomen in the technology industry, today announced that the format for the live auction for WIT Connect '07, "Oceans of Opportunity", will be teams including director and C-level technology, financial and marketing leaders from Georgia's technology giants.

"Last year, at WIT Connect '06 we featured two live auction teams, and the response was overwhelming," explained Patti Dismukes, Co-chair of WIT Connect '07, who also served in the same capacity for WIT Connect '06.  "The bidding for the team from Southern Company and the one from The Home Depot was fierce and the auction candidates really enjoyed themselves.  It was so much fun we decided to expand it to make the entire live auction for WIT Connect '07 teams."

Marsha Calfee, WIT Connect '07 Co-Chair continued, "We have found some really competitive teams that are out to top the success we saw last year.  Just think of the opportunity this year's auction holds for those wanting to do business with the top companies in Georgia!  Here's a chance to bid on a one-on-one meeting with several key decision makers, all at the same table.  The opportunities really are outstanding—we're providing Oceans of Opportunity, just like our theme says."

While the live auction teams are expected to draw several bidders, there are also decision makers in the Silent Auction that are waiting to form valuable relationships with their winning bidders.  This year the auction candidate recruitment team tried to locate technology buyers from all sized companies and with varying needs that should fit most any potential bidder's budget.

Auction Candidates and sponsors along with other VIPs were treated to a preview and in-depth look at the aquarium's conception by Dr. Bruce Carlson, Vice President, Education, Exhibits and Conservation.

Again this year, WIT Connect will be at the Georgia Aquarium.  Those interested in attending the event may get tickets or more information at www.witinc.org for a chance to bid on this year's prestigious list of live auction candidates:
