WIT Connect 2007 Raises More Than $210,000 June 15, 2007 – ATLANTA, GA - Women In Technology, the South's premier organization dedicated to supporting and developing women in technology roles, today announced that its 13th annual WIT Connect auction raised over $210,000 on Wednesday evening, June 13 at the Georgia Aquarium. More than 525 local professionals were in attendance at WIT Connect '07, making new connections and bidding on meetings with senior technology executives. During the event, the Silent Auction drew considerable excitement, providing the winning bidders with opportunities to meet with senior technology executives controlling budgets in excess of $2.5 billion. Bidding in the Live Auction inspired heated competition for auction packages donated by companies including AT&T, AutoTrader.com, ChoicePoint, The Coca-Cola Company, CompuCredit, Delta Airlines, Equifax, The Home Depot, Intercontinental Hotels Group and Southern Company. Not only did these companies auction off meetings with an entire team of executives, they upped the ante, offering packages incorporating concert tickets, trips and sporting events with technology team leaders. "This event was a great success for WIT," said Judi Vitale, President of Women in Technology. "We are so thankful for the contributions and commitment of the auction candidates, volunteers and sponsors who support WIT Connect and our programming and philanthropic initiatives." WIT Connect was co-chaired by Patti Dismukes, Chief Operating Officer of OnSite Resource Solutions and Marsha Calfee, Director, Infor CRM Epiphany Global Sales Operations. The emcee was Nadia Bilchik, author of "The Little Book of Big Networking Ideas," and former anchor for the CNN Airport Network and host of feature programs on CNN International. WIT Connect '07, "Oceans of Opportunity" was made possible by the generous contributions of its sponsors, including Silver sponsors Cbeyond, Definition 6, Exact Target and Equifax; Bronze sponsors Agile, CCCi, Google, Intellinet, MDI, Oracle/Hyperion and Microsoft and media sponsor, the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
