Brian Beard is the Vice President, Information Technology for TRX, Inc. He is responsible for creating and executing information technology strategy and infrastructure integrity globally for TRX. He joined TRX in November 2006 from The Recall Corporation, where he served as Vice President and Chief Information Officer. Some of Beard’s accomplishments at Recall include the creation of a global IT team that was aligned with business functions, the implementation of the first Data warehouse/Business Intelligence system at Recall, and the design and implementation of a new web-based ordering platform saving Recall over $3M per year in operating costs. At GE Power Systems, Beard led the implementation of ERP, Data Warehousing, EAI, CRM, Web Development, and other Global IT initiatives. His responsibilities included building and maintaining global systems in the areas of finance, sales, purchasing, HR, legal, and quality, as well as leading shared services for enterprise data warehousing, ERP, application integration, and executive information systems. Prior to GE, Beard began his IT career at Toyota Motor Sales, USA where he rose through the corporate ranks from junior programmer to the executive level. At Toyota, Mr. Beard was responsible for the creating and implementing web technology initiatives including the Toyota Vision Intranet, Toyota and Lexus.com, and the web based dealer management portal. Beard left Toyota to join GE’s corporate initiatives group in early 2000 where he was responsible for leading large corporate technology initiatives across GE’s 44 business divisions. About TRX, Inc.
