![]() WIT has worked with the following companies and organizations to help start new programs and to develop existing programs to promote female professional visibility and growth.
Strategic Alliance Partners Possible Woman Enterprises and Women in Technology share many common goals which led to a partnership beginning in 2006. Possible Woman's mission is to make a unique and significant difference in the lives of women. Possible Women Enterprises focuses on the personal and professional development of women entrepreneurs and corporate women. This is fostered through a series of professional development courses and conferences. The Possible Woman Foundation International, a 501(c)(3) affiliate, provides academic scholarships for women returning to the work place. WIT teamed up with Possible Woman, contributing a panel for the 2006 Possible Woman Conference at the Georgia World Congress Center on April 19th. Mediated by WIT President, Marsha Calfee, the panel, "Women in Technology Leading the Future," features 2005 WIT Women of the Year in Technology Award winners Bonnie Herron, Intelligent Systems Corporation and Elaine Mitchell Norman, Georgia Pacific (formerly with United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta) along with Ann Franks, Lanier Worldwide and member of WIT's Speakers Bureau and WIT's Best Employer Chair 2005 & 2006. Kris Rinne, CTO, Cingular will round out the lists of distinguished panelists. WIT members receive special consideration for attendance at the Possible Woman Conference which regularly draws more than 1200 attendees. This year's keynote speaker is Della Reese.
